SCMPD Faculty and Students Win "Best Paper" with over 500 Submissions!
The School for Conflict Management, Peacebuilding and Development director at Kennesaw State University, Dr. Joseph G. Bock, along with two International Conflict Management PhD students, Kevin McMahon and Ziaul Haque, won the "Best Paper" award for their project titled, "Massive Displacement Meets Cyberspace: How Information and Communication Technologies are Helping Refugees and Migrants and How We Can Do Better" at the 2017 The Migration Conference
held in Athens, Greece at Harokopio University from August 23-26.
Their paper was selected by the Conference Chairs and Advisory Committee from more than 500 internationally submitted and presented works. This was the fifth annual event in the series organized and sponsored by the Migration Center, Transnational Press London, and Harokopio University. Dr. Brandon D. Lundy and INCM PhD candidate Kezia Lartey also presented their collaborative research at the conference titled "Deciding to Stay: Bissau-Guinean Labour Migrants in Cabo Verde, West Africa".http://www.migrationcenter.org/
